Shane McCoubrey

Shane started his own label after working all over the world designing for Dunhill, Louis Vuitton, Valentino and Gucci. He'd always dreamed of creating beautiful individual items that would be really special - handmade in England.

He draws his inspiration from the natural world. "I like irregularity, jagged edges and rock fissures. I create splashes as if I have thrown diamonds at the tie and all the colours and jewel light merge."

The silks for Shane's ties are hand loomed by one of Britain's longest established weavers, using a process known as engineered cutting so that the design appears on the tie exactly as Shane intended. This precision isn't cheap, and you don't see it in mass-produced ties.
