Neil Bottle
Neil Bottle's textile designs have been sold to stores around the world and collected by galleries and interior designers since 1989. Neil's work has been purchased for major collections and exhibitions such as The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Guggenheim Museum and The Cooper Hewitt Museum in New York. He has recently been commissioned by the British Museum and The Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. One of his scarfs was presented to Cherie Blair and Hilary Clinton.
Highly collectable
Everything Neil produces is either a one-off or a limited edition. His designs are often inspired by the natural world around his studio on the Kent coast. Some echo the textures, colours and patterns of things Neil discovers on walks, like sea-bleached wood, weathered paint and rusting metal.
Own an original
Neil hand paints and prints fine silks in his studio, using screens to overlay images one on top of another. Many of the techniques and processes used in the work are experimental and not used in the commercial print industry.
Each tie is hand finished to a high standard, and no two are exactly alike. Each one is an original work of art - one worthy of hanging in the most stylish wardrobe.
